TRAINING AND CAREGIVING
Training patients' caregivers and professionals who work in the field of alzheimers, is essential due to the character of the disease. Caregivers should assume a necessary training to know how to stimulate the patient, to make up for any deficiency that appear during the process of the disease (twelve years average) and to improve possible periods of aggressive behaviour and other psychological symptoms.
A good training leads to a better quality of life for the affected families. alzheimur foundation provides this service to the fragile section of society in the need of support and collaboration. Highly qualified professionals give care to alzheimers patients in the day centre of the foundation. Improvements in the treatment of the disease have been achieved due to fact of connecting research, caregiving and training. Research advances have proved to have positive effects on the patients and the caregivers. Additionally, the working experience in the day-care centre has helped the researchers to focus their subject matters.
